About Us

Refugees Helping Refugees

Born from the heart of Kakuma Refugee Camp, SRR is a testament to the resilience and compassion of the refugee community.

How It All Began

On September 23, 2023, a group of dedicated refugees in Kakuma Refugee Camp came together with a shared vision: to create an organization that truly understands and addresses the needs of the most vulnerable in our community.

SRR – Social Relief for Refugees was born not in an office far away, but right here among the people we serve. We are refugees who have experienced the challenges firsthand, and we believe that the best help comes from those who understand.

Today, we are a growing family of volunteers, supporters, and community members all working towards one goal: ensuring that every orphan, every person with disability, and every vulnerable child in our camp has access to education, healthcare, and hope.
